Weight Gain

The relationship between Weight Gain & Food Intolerance.

Weight Gain

If you are putting on weight, and have not yet discovered a cause then it is possible that you could be one of the estimated 9 million(1) adults in the UK with a food intolerance.

These food sensitivities can be very difficult to pinpoint – often a trial and error elimination diet alone can take months before trigger foods are identified, as weight gain could be due to a food you have just eaten, or it could be because of a food you ate earlier in the day, or even one or two days previously.

Smartblood Story - Kathryn's Weight Issues

Kathryn, a keen hill walker, has always had problems with her energy levels, as well as experiencing fluctuations in her weight with no discernible cause.

Recently, one of Kathryn’s friends recommended that she take a Smartblood Food Intolerance Test – this test identified her IgG trigger foods which she replaced with non reactive foods with the help of a Smartblood Nutritional Therapist – now she feels better, and climbs bigger hills!

After taking the test and changing my diet, I noticed a big improvement in my energy levels and weight, as well as less pain from bloating! - Kathryn
