Smartblood Story - Kathryn's Weight Issues.

Kathryn, a keen hill walker, has always had problems with her energy levels, as well as experiencing fluctuations in her weight with no discernible cause.

Recently, one of Kathryn's friends recommended that she take a Smartblood Food Intolerance Test - this test identified her IgG trigger foods which she replaced with non reactive foods with the help of a Smartblood Nutritional Therapist - now she feels better, and climbs bigger hills!

After taking the test and changing my diet, I noticed a big improvement in my energy levels and weight, as well as less pain from bloating!

Food Intolerance Testing for Athletes

Athletes are finely tuned machines, often following a strict diet and training regime. Consistent training can often cause stress to the digestive system and have a negative impact on which foods and drinks can be digested efficiently.  Many athletes therefore develop food sensitivities, sometimes to foods and drinks that are perfectly ‘healthy’ on paper.

A wide range of Professional Athletes have used Smartblood Laboratories to test their food sensitivities and help optimise their diet.

A Smartblood test could help identify the causes of weight gain.

Smartblood Laboratories are Food Intolerance Specialists. We provide you with an accurate IgG reaction testing service based upon a 45 year old Laboratory method known as ELISA Plate Testing.

By testing a small sample of your blood, we will show you your IgG reactions to 134 food and drink ingredients - if you test positive to any of them then research shows that it is possible that you have a sensitivity to that food type. By eliminating that food type with the help of one of our nutritional therapists you could take control of reactions that may be responsible for weight imbalances.

A 2012 study looked at eliminating IgG antibody food reactions from the diet, and it’s effect on body composition and quality of life. 120 subjects over the age of 18 took part in a study, involving elimination of their IgG reactive foods for 90 days. Those who eliminated their IgG reactive foods from their diet experienced reductions in weight, BMI, waist & hip circumference. Subjects also saw improvements in all quality of life measures after 90 days.
