The 1st-step indicator test is popular with those that have health problems that may be explained by a food intolerance but want to just check this before proceeding to a full test, which can be done on the same sample with no extra effort.
Once you have placed an order, your Smartblood 1st Step Food Intolerance Test Kit will usually arrive the next working day. Full instructions are provided both as a booklet, and by our first step instruction video, which is accessible through a QR code within your kit.
By pricking your finger you are easily able to collect 3-5 drops of blood which you can then send back to our Laboratory in our UN3373 compliant business reply envelope.
As soon as your blood arrives at our laboratory, our sample reception team will scan your unique barcode, which triggers an instant text message or email, letting you know that we'll shortly begin to prepare your sample for analysis.
Our laboratory technicians aim to make your 1st step test results available to you within just three working days! As soon as they are ready you will recieve an instant text message and email asking you to contact us for 1st step results.
If your result is Negative, then you do not need to do anything. If, however, it is positive, this means that you have an IgG food intolerance reaction to at least one of the 134 foods or drinks tested. In order for you to take control of your food intolerances, our Doctors recommend that you upgrade to the Full Smartblood Programme which will give you full details of your IgG reactive foods, and a consultation with one of our BANT registered Nutritional Therapists. The test can be easily conducted upon the blood sample that we already hold.
If you think that food intolerance may be responsible for your symptoms then we believe that our easy-to-complete tests could help you. Find all your food intolerances at once with a Smartblood test.
Around 10% of our customers exhibit no IgG reactions – should your results come back completely negative, we’ll provide a FULL REFUND so you can continue your investigations through other testing.
Smartblood define food intolerance as a food or drink specific IgG antibody reaction. Smartblood do not claim or attempt to claim to diagnose medical conditions, or cure or treat medical conditions.
